San Francisco Fashion Week has taken the city by storm and I’m loving every minute of it! I started at the Factory for their Fashion Social, which is an ongoing fashion mixer located in various boutiques to showcase local fashion and targeting fashion entrepreneurs and fashion tech product developers. Marketing and PR for Fashion Social is by Owen Geronimo and  SFFAMA/Fashion+TechSF. Please click here for more information on the SFFAMA.

I love the Factory’s concept, which uses The Evans Group (based out of Los Angeles) to support independent and emerging designers. As their website states, you can observe the process of apparel  manufacturing as you shop – bonus! The Factory asks its guest “Do You Know Where Your Clothes Were Made?” and if purchased with them, you certainly do. I admire owner Jennifer Evans passion behind supporting independent design and love the exposed brick, lofty-feel of the retail space. I highly recommend a trip to SOMA to check out what The Factory has to offer!

My next party took me to a Pop-Up Sale for Fashion Night Out at 5 Claude Lane. There were many wonderful vendors, including my personal fav Sasha Maks Vintage and local hat designer Miko Fabulous. This mixer provided great opportunity to mingle with the SF fashion crowd and scope out upcoming fall fashion, and the turnout was terrific!

My final stop was at Kurt Geiger, at their US flagship location on Stockton Street. The drinks were flowing and the crowd was shopping as soon as we hit the entrance. Everyone inside was having a ball, and I ran into a few familiar faces. There were some massive shoe sales going on, so quite a few lucky ladies and gents were scoring kicks at a fraction of their value. It was a perfect place to end the party.

Tonight Fashion Week continues as I head to the Palace Hotel for the launch of Mondo Guerra’s eyewear collection for See. Mondo just may be my very favorite Project Runway contestant of all time (not to mention the All Star winner!) so I am thrilled to see his collection tonight. Plus, as a specs-wearing gal I am always on the hunt for quirky frames. Stay tuned for tomorrow’s post with all the deets!
